Monsoon Safaris offers you a unique opportunity to explore the East African coast. On our 75 foot ketch, Lo Entropy, capturing the spirit of the traditional seafaring craft, our experienced crew will take you to some truly remote and pristine places, and introduce you to the key coastal locations that were part of a network of trading centres dating back over the last millennium.

Around Africa

Due to the piracy threads at the Golf of Aden the Lo Entropy yacht will be sailing around Africa instead of using the Suez Canal on her trip from Wales UK to East Africa.

The Swahili coast route will be put on hold and be replaced by a journey to Madagascar and back crossing The Comoros en Nosy Be.

"In the 20th century, except for an occasional historical incident, they virtually disappeared from the world's awareness. They became "Forgotten Islands."

Martin Ottenheimer

15 December Geoff Boerne and his crew will sail to Brazil and will arrive february '09 in Cape Town.

Just looking at this 4 years later ... not even the initial route went according to plan ...
So many dreams gone wrong, so much money wasted ... and now Lo siezed by debtors in durban ...
What should we have done to get it right from the beginning?? ... probably never dreamed, which would have been a REAL waste!
